“Very upset and hurt; it made me cry even worse,” she said.
She said the president told her in the call last week that her husband “‘knew what he signed up for’, but it hurts anyways. And it made me cry cause I was very angry at the tone of his voice and how he said he couldn’t remember my husband’s name. Here’s the full interview with Myeshia Johnson, widow of fallen soldier Sgt. “I heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband’s name,” she said. “And that’s what hurt me the most, because if my husband is out here fighting for our country, and he risked his life for our country, why can’t you remember his name? That’s what made me upset and cry even more.”The internet swiftly reacted to the development.
Dear Myeshia Johnson,We all remember your heroic husband’s name, Sgt. La David T. Johnson, even if Trump doesn’t.
